407 projects inked at int'l expo

KUNMING -- A total of 407 projects were signed at an international expo held in southwest China.

Projects inked at the 2019 South and Southeast Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair amounted to 609.3 billion yuan ($88 billion), according to the organizer.

The event, which concluded Tuesday in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, drew 3,348 companies, half of which were from overseas. The expo had 7,500 booths, which covered an area of 170,000 square meters.

Exhibitors from South Asian countries mainly presented jewels, rugs, and fragrant materials, while those from Southeast Asia displayed drinks, snacks and fruits.
