Railway police nab 355 fugitives during Dragon Boat Festival holiday

BEIJING - Chinese railway police apprehended 355 fugitives nationwide during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the railway public security bureau announced Monday.

A total of 164,000 hazardous materials and about 4.65 kilograms of drugs were also seized by the railway police during the holiday which fell on June 7 to 9.

In addition to launching enhanced crackdown on law violations, railway police also helped remove potential hazards caused by bad weather, ensuring safe and smooth railway traffic, said the bureau.
