FIFA President Gianni Infantino has indicated the current hosting rules could be changed, which would allow China to make a bid for the 2030 World Cup.

Under the current rules, as a fellow member of the Asian Football Confederation, China would be prevented from bidding to host the next two World Cups following Qatar 2022.

When asked about the possibility of a bid from China, Infantino told reporters at FIFA's 69th Congress in Paris "the more the merrier".
