Dozens of students from Huanggu School for the Deaf in Shenyang in Liaoning province were invited to visit a northern branch of China Southern Airlines in the city on Friday, ahead of the Children's Day, which falls on June 1st.

The open-day event is aimed to help the children learn how flight crew offer services to passengers.

Accompanied by eight teachers, the 22 hearing-impaired students visited a domestic check-in area, an on-site operation center and a preparation room for airline meals.
