Diplomats learn Chinese traditions ahead of Dragon Boat Festival

The officials took part in the Shanghai Summer School: Diplomats' Program, jointly held by the Shanghai Education Commission, Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office and the university.

More than 400 officials from over 60 consulates general in Shanghai have participated in the program every March to June since its inception nine years ago.

Lectures and activities on Chinese culture and language, such as Chinese architecture, seal carving, China's diplomatic history, and tea ceremonies, are offered in the program.
