BEIJING -- Over 34,000 pieces of artwork have been submitted to a nationwide patriotic solicitation event that started this January.
The artwork on the theme of "My Motherland and Me," includes essays, photographs and short videos, which depict the scenery of China, great changes in life over the past decades, or poverty alleviation in ethnic minority regions, according to the organizer.
The event will last until June 30. Selected outstanding works will be awarded and published by major media outlets afterwards.
The event is jointly organized by multiple departments, such as the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
