Ex-Yunnan official under investigation

BEIJING -- Qin Guangrong, former Party chief of southwest China's Yunnan Province, is being investigated for suspected serious violations of Party disciplinary rules and laws, according to the country's top anti-graft body Thursday.
Qin is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.
He voluntarily surrendered.
