Sustainable products to drive one-third of Reckitt Benckiser's profits

Reckitt Benckiser Group plc, a British multinational consumer goods company, will see one-third of its net profits coming from sustainable products by 2020.

And all the plastic packaging of the company's products will be recyclable by 2025, a goal that is part of the company's responsibility to achieve a sustainable development, said Miguel Veiga-Pestana, senior vice-president of Corporate Affairs.

"Our target to achieve a sustainable development is not only to fulfill the responsibility for the society, environment and our customers. In fact, the companies that have set up a sustainable development strategy and continue to invest to implement it have achieved a much better performance than those have no such plans," Veiga-Pestana said at a forum held by Reckitt Benckiser and Tsinghua National Image Research Center.

Reckitt Benckiser is a $17 billion global consumer health business that is committed to helping people live healthier, better lives. The company focuses on balance the sustainable development from diversity aspect, such as business, environment and social progress.

In October 2017, Reckitt Benckiser launched RB2.0 program, which will focus on the development of health in various business areas. And Meadjohnson's infant milk powder is an important part of the 2.0 program.
