I hope the message in President Xi's speech is taken seriously by everyone constructing buildings, homes and roads in China, and they do so in a way that respects nature and protects local ecology.

Xi's words carry great weight, and I am sure the whole of China was listening carefully to what President Xi said on Sunday night.

So I hope China's hosting of the exhibition-and doing so on such a huge and impressive scale-will give a message to millions and millions of people, both to the Chinese and to people all around the world.

They are looking after nature and valuing the Earth.
