Sinobo Thaiwoo, CPAA Theaters ink deal for Olympic theater


Sinobo Thaiwoo Culture and Tourism Co Ltd, signed a deal with CPAA Theaters on Sunday to build a theater in Taizicheng ice town, part of the supporting facilities for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
The theater, located in the core area of the Taizicheng international center, covers an area of 10,000 square meters and can accommodate 800 people. It will continue to operate as a long-term facility after the games are finished.
Taizicheng ice town is located in the center of Zhangjiakou, host city of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. It covers an area of 2.89 square kilometers, with total floor space of 1.2 million square meters. Sinobo Thaiwoo is expected to invest 14 billion yuan ($2.1 billion) into the project.
CPAA Theaters is the first literary performance theater company officially registered by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of China. It will launch different types of performances based on local conditions, such as outdoor music festivals in summer and indoor comprehensive art festivals in winter.
