Highlights of Hannah Ryder's speech at Vision China

Hannah Ryder, CEO of Development Reimagined and former head of the Policy and Partnerships, the United Nations Development Programme, shared her perspectives on the BRI during a Vision China event in Beijing on Saturday.

"This diverse membership (of the countries in the BRI) provides an opportunity for countries to get together to think outside of the box, and see what others do. It provides the opportunity to listen more carefully to what is needed, to shape and design programmes that will deliver the best results, that won’t go wrong," she said.

The sixth session of Vision China, themed "Belt and Road, Shared Future", kicks off at Beijing Language and Culture University in Beijing on April 27. Vision China is a series of talks organized by China Daily.

The event coincides with the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in Beijing on April 25 - 27.
