While Ouyang Guohui works on his painting, he becomes isolated from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.

The 56-year old is a provincial Master of Arts and Crafts, specializing in cloisonne enamel painting in Gansu province, Northwest China.

Fascinated by the Mogao Caves culture, he integrates the Buddhist statues, flying apsara, and landscape images into his art.
