Jinan shuts down 2 illegal social organizations
The Jinan Civil Affairs Bureau shut down two illegal social organizations - a training center of alcohol drinkers and a skewer culture research base on Monday, according to the bureau's official website.
After receiving reports on Monday that the two organizations were accused of being involved in illegal social activities, the bureau immediately went to the sites to investigate. Two signs with the organizations' names were found outside of a lobster restaurant to attract customers. The organizations weren't registered.
The two signs, which had been posted in the restaurant since March 2018, were removed on the same day.
Since launching a campaign to clamp down on illegal social organizations in 2018, the Jinan Civil Affairs Bureau has closed 58 illegal social organizations.
