Chinese vice premier meets ExxonMobil chairman and CEO
BEIJING -- Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng met with ExxonMobil Chairman and CEO Darren Woods on Thursday, reiterating China's active will in attracting foreign investment in China.
Han, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said opening up to the outside world is China's basic policy.
Noting ExxonMobil is welcome to expand investment cooperation in China, Han said ExxonMobil is also welcome to build large-scale wholly-owned petrochemical projects in China.
"I hope ExxonMobil will continue to use its advanced technology, cooperate with China in accordance with market rules and commercial principles, and actively participate in the development of China's petrochemical industry, so as to better achieve mutual benefit and win-win results," said Han.
Woods said that China's development and measures in reform and opening up have provided broad prospects for global enterprises to invest in China. ExxonMobil will continue to strengthen cooperation with China and accelerate the construction of its projects in China.
