Ethiopian Airline pilots did their best before crash: Report

A preliminary report on the crashed Ethiopian Airlines flight ET302 on March 10 indicates the flight's pilots did their best to avoid the accident.
The report, released Thursday, said the pilots followed Boeing's and the Federal Aviation Administration's approved emergency procedures.
It was unfortunate that, despite their hard work and full compliance with the procedures, they could not stop the plane crashing, the report said.
Tewolde GebreMariam, Ethiopian Airlines group CEO said they are proud of their pilots' compliance in following emergency procedures and their high level of professionalism in such extremely difficult situations.
"All of us at Ethiopian Airlines are still going through deep mourning for the loss of our loved ones and we would like to express our deep sympathy and condolences for the families, relatives and friends of the victims," he said.
GebreMariam assured customers of the airline's commitment to flight safety.
"Your safety will remain our top most priority and we will continue to work together with our partners around the world to make air travel safer and more comfortable," he said.
