State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING -- The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of several officials Thursday.

Xu Hongcai was appointed Vice Minister of Finance, replacing Liu Wei.

Liu Wei was named vice chairman of the National Council for Social Security Fund, replacing Lou Jiwei.

Hao Shuchen was appointed director of the office of a central inter-ministerial joint meeting of economic responsibility audit.
