Frozen river sweeps through Inner Mongolia

The Inner Mongolia autonomous region's Mergel River, which flows through Hulun Buir Grassland, is known worldwide. The snaking 150-kilometer-long river bends like a white ribbon across the grassland, while the grass is still withered and water remains frozen in the early spring.
