Tree Planting Festival activity held in Xi'an

With the coming of the new spring semester in March, the grass begins to sprout. On March 12, the International College ushered in the 41st Arbor Day in China. It organized “Green Xi'an, We Are in Action”, with students from France, Germany, Malaysia, and Sudan.

In today's China, the concept of “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. On this special Arbor Day, the teachers of the International College with students from different countries went to the Zhangyu Vineyard, as did international students from Northwestern Poly technical University and officials and other people from various social groups, all gathered to celebrate the festival.

The students contributed their strength to the realization of “Green Xi'an” with practical actions. Digging, planting, filling, watering... they dug with their shovels and planted saplings together. With the warm weather, everyone enjoyed the happiness of labor and sowed seeds of expectations in their hearts, expectations for the future. In addition, the students also drew kites by hand to pray for a better life. Meanwhile, the students felt Chinese civilization at their fingertips.

This tree planting activity provided a good platform for communication between teachers and students. It enabled them to contribute to building a beautiful and green Xi'an together, planting hope and looking forward to its harvest. The activity also showed that our college attaches great importance to the moral education of international students. Through it and other forms of publicity and educational activities, the students are able to make better sense of the profound Chinese culture. At the same time, they feel the new concept of contemporary China.
