There is no vacuum in Afghanistan to be filled, because the land belongs to the people of Afghanistan, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said during a media conference on Friday, answering a question on the situation in Afghanistan.
He said Afghanistan should not again become an arena of great power rivalry, nor should it be subjected to conflicts. He appealed to all parties in Afghanistan to settle differences through dialogues and join hands to push the door to the peace.
China will respect its people's wish and willingness, and will continue to do its best to promote reconciliation and reconstruction, Wang noted.
