Li Suhuan, a deputy to NPC from Hebei province, is attending the two sessions for the second time this year.
"As an ordinary person, I am representing 700,000 peasants so I feel very happy and excited because I could raise some issues I care about at the two sessions," she said.
Li currently runs a watermelon farm cooperative that benefit villagers from 70 nearby villages.
Her proposal during this year's two sessions is to improve the safety in production of agricultural products as well as the management of sales of agricultural products.
