Visitors to the GSMA Innovation City at the 2019 Mobile World Congress will experience first-hand how mobile technology is positively impacting the world.

In its fifth year, the GSMA Innovation City, an immersive exhibition space hosted by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association at the Congress – taking place from Monday to Thursday in Barcelona, Spain – showcases the latest innovations in the mobile area, such as artificial intelligence and 5G.

The space will provide visitors with the opportunity to explore how mobile products and services can help people and businesses around the world to create a better future.

Huawei, one of the exhibitors this year, will bring its latest 5G technology to the venue allowing people a taste of what this upgrade could bring to business and people's daily lives.

Huawei revealed that a 5G supported robot will interact with visitors, showing off its Rubik's cube skills.

Another exhibitor Google will showcase how it cooperates with global partners to deliver richer conversations to its users and the business community, and the latest highlights from its Messages app.

Other exhibitors include South Korea's leading telecommunication service provider, KT Corporation, which will demonstrate its 5G network display; Sierra Wireless, the Canadian communications equipment provider of device-to-cloud solutions for the Internet of Things, known as IoT; and Turkcell/Lifecell Digital.

Through a series of hands-on experience, the interactive zone will demonstrate how mobile can improve our lives in transportation, health, agriculture, industry, home, retail and so on.

Beyond these, the GSMA will also provide opportunities for attendees to learn about the most advanced technologies in the mobile communication industry.
An AI robot named Sophia will take on the role of a presenter in explaining the concept of AI, to educate people on how AI is making intelligent robotics a reality.

Last year, the intelligent zone attracted more than 30,000 visitors. Over the years, the zone has become one of the most popular exhibitions at the congress.
