Apart from movies, film soundtracks also attract attention during holiday season

While public holidays are a peak season for the movie industry, film music also enjoys a boost during this period.

As a result, 28 movie soundtracks from eight movies screened during the Spring Festival break, have been streamed over 100 million times, according to statistics from the three music platforms of Tencent Music Entertainment Group: QQ, Kugou and Kuwo, which have more than 800 million users.

The most-listened songs were Star from the sci-fi movie, The Wandering Earth, performed by Taiwan singer Aska Yang; Wandering from the same movie, performed by singer-songwriter Zhou Bichang, and Crazy Alien from the self-titled movie, performed by Beijing-based rock band Second Hand Roses.

The statistics also show that songs from the annual CCTV Spring Festival Gala are also popular with listeners, and have been streamed nearly 90 million times.
