Armed drug suspect shot and killed in southern China

GUANGZHOU -- Police in southern China's Guangdong province shot and killed a suspect involved in drug-related activities who was armed and resisting arrest Monday night, local authorities said Tuesday.
The police in the city of Lufeng shot the suspect surnamed Lu because Lu continued to resist after a warning was issued.
A gun, five bullets, three bags of methamphetamine and a large amount of stolen property were found on the spot.
The suspect is a Lufeng native and was previously convicted of theft and illegal possession of guns.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
