China staunch defender of cyber security: China's EU mission
BRUSSELS -- China is a staunch defender of cyber security and has been firmly opposing and cracking down on all forms of cyber espionage, the Mission of China to the European Union (EU) said here Monday.
The Chinese government has never participated in any form of theft of trade secrets, nor supported anyone in doing so, the mission said in a statement.
Responding to Bloomberg's latest report on alleged hacking by China featuring accusations by countries like the United States and Britain, the mission said that "some countries' accusations against China on the cyber security issue are unfounded and groundless, driven by ulterior motives."
"We do not accept and are firmly opposed to such accusations. We urge the relevant parties to stop defaming China, so as not to undermine their bilateral relations and cooperation with China," said the statement.
