Macao SAR to continue striving for sustained development: chief executive


MACAO -- Chief Executive of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Chui Sai On said on Monday that the SAR government will continue to strive for the sustained development of the SAR.
Cui made the remarks on the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year.
He noted that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR.
Macao will make unremitting efforts to ensure the successful implementation of the "one country, two systems" principle, and to integrate further into the overall development of the country, he said.
The chief executive extended his sincere gratitude to all workers who keep essential services operating during the holiday, and wished the whole community a happy, healthy and prosperous Year of the Pig.
