Xinjiang residents' per capita disposable income rises
URUMQI -- Xinjiang's per capita disposable income reached to 21,500 yuan ($3,188) last year, an increase of 7.6 percent annually.
Local authorities said the per capita disposable income for rural and urban residents in the region were 11,975 and 32,764 yuan, up by 8.4 and 6.5 percent respectively.
Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has been supporting local agriculture and animal husbandry development. The per capita net business income of rural residents was 6,624 yuan, up by 9.7 percent annually.
Xu Bin, an official with the regional statistics bureau, said the region intensified its efforts in supporting employment and entrepreneurship last year. The per capita salary income of urban residents reached 21,953 yuan, up by 6 percent from the previous year.
