French President Emmanuel Macron to visit Egypt

French President Emmanuel Macron will start an official three-day visit to Egypt on Jan 27, for talks with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, on a number of bilateral and regional issues.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Elysee Palace said the two leaders will discuss crises in the Middle East, particularly the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The two sides will also discuss bilateral French-Egyptian relations and means of enhancing them, especially in the economy and other areas.
