Mother leaves bag of confiscated gaming gear on Wuhan subway train
A bag left behind on a subway train in Wuhan, Hubei province, recently was found to contain more than 10 kilograms of electronic equipment confiscated by a mother trying to prevent her 12-year-old son from becoming a video game addict, the news website The Paper reported on Thursday.
Worried that her son would not focus on his studies during the winter vacation, the mother, surnamed Ye, confiscated her son's tablet, PC, games console, smartphone and smartwatch, and carried them around in her backpack wherever she went.
Previously, Ye had only taken the internet router away, but she returned home one day to find that her son had spent the whole day playing a single-player game that did not require an internet connection.
Ye said putting the devices in her bag and carrying them around with her was the most effective way to prevent her son from playing games and guarantee he would finish his homework on time.
