Classical musicians from China and the United States gave a joint concert at the Carnegie Hall, New York, on January 21.

Soprano Wang Wei from the China National Opera House opened the concert with some of Wagner's arias.

Soprano Lucy Tong, who also worked as music director of the concert, and Chinese baritone Wu Baicheng sang arias from opera The Merry Widow.

Tenor Orson Van Gay from the Los Angeles Opera and Wang performed the popular Libiamo ne'lieti calici (Brindisi) from the opera La Traviata.

Finally, all the vocalists sang Nessun dorma from Turandot to bring the concert to climax.
