As sesame, brown sugar and red dates are viewed by some Chinese as a way to keep healthy, an Italian coffee company is using these perceived benefits to cater to customer preferences in a new market.

Italian brand Buonissimo has entered the Chinese market and rolled out a new coffee product with these popular ingredients, as well as another with roses, in an appeal to customers here.

Along with coffee, Buonissimo — well-known for its Italian food but new to China — sells gelato, Italian dessert, candies and sandwiches to meet various needs. And more than 90 percent of its ingredients are from Italy.
