Construction work on four main pavilions for the upcoming 2019 China Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition has been completed.
The 2019 expo will open on April 29, hosting more than 16 million people from 86 countries and 26 international organizations.
The infrastructures, including facilities and utilities, have been put into operation in the park, said Ye Dajun, deputy director of the 2019 expo coordination bureau.
He said the China exhibition park was 80 percent complete and work on 36 out of 41 international exhibition parks was underway.
Trees were planted before the end of 2018, said Ye, adding that 1.8 million flowers are waiting to blossom in the base of the park to be ready for the upcoming event.
