Spring comes early for teachers in Hangzhou

While it may be winter time, some teachers in Hangzhou are already enjoying their spring.

A middle school in Hangzhou has just released a notice offering its unmarried or childless teachers extra holidays to find their “significant others.”

The Hangzhou Dinglan Experimental Middle School, located in Jianggan district, currently employs 124 teachers, among whom 40 percent are single.

According to the new rule, they will be entitled to two half-day “romantic holidays” each month from now on.
