Wang Qiang beats Aleksandra Krunic in Australia Open

Wang Qiang of China achieved her personal best in the Australia Open after beating Aleksandra Krunic of Serbia 6-2, 6-3 in the second round of women's singles on Thursday morning in Melbourne.

The tournament's 21st seed Wang has attended the Australia Open since 2015 but lasted only one round all three times she's participated.

In the third round, she will play against the winner of the match between Bianca Andreescu of Canada and the 13th seed Anastasija Sevastova of Latvia.
