A snow sculpture by South Korean artists on Jan 13 won first prize at the 24th Harbin International Ice Sculpture Competition.

The competition was held in the capital city of northeast China's Heilongjiang province.

The winning sculpture, In the History, showcases the achievements of historical figures in the form of a book of ice, and aims to inspire people today.

The four-day annual event attracted 29 teams from 19 countries including China, Mexico, South Korea, and the US.

It has not only been a platform for world-class sculptors to compete and connect, but has also become one of the most spectacular global winter festivals.
