A passenger was recently detained for pouring hot water on a bus driver's hands after missing her stop in Shaoyang, Hunan province.
The 30-year-old suspect, surnamed Zhang, forgot to get off the bus at her stop. After the bus driver told her that he could not open the door while the bus was still moving, she took out a vacuum bottle and poured hot water onto his hands, causing the bus to run into roadside bushes. One passenger suffered an injury to an eye.
Police said Zhang was detained for endangering public safety.
