Xi's speech commemorating 40th anniversary of Message to Compatriots in Taiwan published

BEIJING - President Xi Jinping's speech at a gathering to commemorate the 40th anniversary of issuing Message to Compatriots in Taiwan has been published.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered the speech, themed "jointly strive to realize national rejuvenation and promote peaceful reunification of the motherland," on Jan 2.

The booklet, published by the People's Publishing House, is available at Xinhua Bookstore outlets across the country from Wednesday.
