Qiu Ye, the founder and a Beijing native, is known for his narrative and humorous singing style. In 2014, he created music for director Wang Xiaoshuai's movie, Red Amnesia, and starred in rocker Cui Jian's directorial debut, Blue Sky Bones.

One of the band’s most popular songs is Gaze, a hit in the ‘90s, which was used as the title track for the popular Chinese TV series, Struggle, in 2004.
