Huatai Securities Jiangsu Team wins Huawei Go award

The Huatai Securities Jiangsu Team emerged the winners in the just-concluded 2018 Huawei Cellphone China Go Cities League A in Shenzhen, in Guangdong province.

The event, first held in 1999, had 14 teams competing in 26 rounds starting in March.

Meanwhile, Chinese Go player Ke Jie, who recently won his sixth world champion title, led his China United Travel Xiamen Team into second place. He also won the best team leader and the most popular player.

“It’s a bit pity that we didn’t win the championship, and I’m not satisfied with my result of 17 wins and 9 losses. Next year, our team will do better,” said Ke.

Mi Yuting from the Huatai Securities Jiangsu Team won the Most Valuable Player award and his coach Ding Bo received the Best Coach award.
