A photo exhibition to present the development and opening-up of Shanghai's Pudong New Area over the past 28 years opened on Nov 29.

More than 300 photos taken by 166 photographers and amateur citizens are on display. A 3D projection technology is used to improve the visual effects of the exhibition.

The exhibition venue, an 80,000-ton silo at Minsheng Dock, is the best witness of Pudong's development. The silo used to be Asia's largest granary and now has been transformed into a modern exhibition center.

Running until Jan 6 next year, the event also celebrates the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up policy.

Pudong was approved to be a national development area in 1990, and has undergone drastic changes over the past 28 years. It has now become the premier destination in Shanghai for investors, talents and innovators.
