A promotion for a video series featuring words of wisdom and well-known stories quoted by President Xi Jinping from his favorite ancient Chinese classics was held at Radio and Television Argentina on Wednesday ahead of his arrival for the G20 Leaders' Summit.

The program, Clásicos Citados por Xi, Spanish for Xi Jinping's Classical Quotes, features the stories most quoted in Xi's speeches and articles under six topics, including the cultivation of individual personalities and the construction of honest administration.

They highlight Xi's deep understanding of traditional Chinese culture as well as his wisdom and thoughts on state governance.

China Media Group President Shen Haixiong said the introduction of the Spanish-language version is aimed at "opening a window" for an Argentine audience to see Xi's charm and to strengthen cultural exchanges between peoples from the two countries.

The head of Argentina's Federal System of Media and Public Content, Hernan Lombardi, and the president of Radio and Television Argentina, Miguel Pereira, and other guests attended the series launch. The event highlighted that the close communication between the media from the two countries is necessary to promote friendship among their people.

Two documentaries co-produced by China and Argentina, Glamorous Argentina and Glamorous China, were broadcast on Thursday.

The two-episode, 120-minute Glamorous China is shot from an Argentine perspective. It not only records the rapid development and prosperity of Chinese cities but also shows the colorful natural scenery of Southwest China.

Glamorous Argentina, a 100-minute documentary, paints a picture of Argentina from a Chinese perspective.

Meanwhile, as Argentina makes final preparations for the summit, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, host city of the 2016 G20 Leaders' Summit, held a promotional event in Buenos Aires last week to showcase its attractions.

Raul Benitez Alias, who has visited Hangzhou, said: "It's so nice to see the exhibition here. To me, it's like the whole of Hangzhou has moved to Buenos Aires. It enables more people in Argentina to gain an up-close view of this scenic city."
