Heilongjiang establishes catering business chamber

Northeastern Heilongjiang province has founded a catering business chamber on November 22 to carry forward the province’s gourmet food culture and encourage cuisine innovation.

Nearly 1,000 founders and officials of well-known domestic catering brands joined the chamber’s founding event and exchanged ideas on developing local food brand image and safety system.

“The chamber would unify our province’s catering businesses to promote and inherit local food culture, and push forward our food culture brand,” said Zhou Yiyong, head of the catering chamber.

The goal is to increase Heilongjiang cuisine’s influence nationwide, Zhou added.

The chamber would play a positive role in conveying relevant government policy, economic and marketing information to its catering members and dealing with member problems.
