2 killed, 24 injured in explosion at Jilin company

Two people were killed and 24 were injured in an explosion on Friday night in Dongfeng county of Northeast China's Jilin province.
The explosion happened in Jiangcheng Machinery Company, based in a village, at around 11:40 pm.
A statement by the local government on Saturday morning said two people had been killed, including one who died in the hospital, and 24 others were wounded, as of 4:40 am.
The accident triggered an emergency response by the government, while rescue and investigation efforts are both underway.
Early stage investigations determined the incident was not terror related.
