Roni Benise: Fuego!

Daniel Barenboim & Das Orchester Der Staatsoper Berlin

Daniel Barenboim will lead the Staatskapelle Berlin, which he has been in charge of many years, to bring the complete set of Brahms symphony to the Beijing audience, as well as the symphony of Schubert and Beethoven. Daniel Barenboim was born in Buenos Aires in 1942. He received his first piano lessons from his mother at the age of 5. Later, he studied under his father, who would remain his only piano teacher. At the age of 7, he gave his first public concert in Buenos Aires. In 1952, he moved with his parents to Israel. His international debut came at the age of 10 with concerts in Vienna and Rome, followed by performances in Paris (1955), London (1956), and New York (1957) under Leopold Stokowski. With almost 450 years of tradition, Staatskapelle Berlin is one of the oldest orchestras in the world.

"More Than Love" Classic Movie Romantic Concert

Yesterday Once More, written by Richard Carpenter and John Bettis, is a hit song by the Carpenters from their 1973 album Now & Then. Composed in the key of E and as originally presented on the album, Yesterday Once More segues into a long medley, consisting of eight covers of 1960s tunes incorporated into a faux oldies radio program. The work takes up the entire B-side of the album. This performance combines many classic movie theme songs. Speak Softly, Love is a popular song published in 1972, with music by Nino Rota and lyrics by Larry Kusik. The song was first introduced as an instrumental theme in the 1972 film The Godfather that was simply known as Love Theme from The Godfather. My Heart Will Go On is a song recorded by Canadian singer Celine Dion. It serves as the main theme song to James Cameron's blockbuster film Titanic, that is based on an account of the British transatlantic ocean liner of the same name which sank in 1912 after colliding with an iceberg in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. He's a Pirate is a 2003 track composed by Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer for the 2003 Disney film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
