Jiangsu vice-governor under investigation

Miao Ruilin, vice-governor of East China’s Jiangsu province, is under investigation for alleged serious violations of discipline and law, according to the website of Central Commission for Discipline Inspection on Thursday morning.
Miao, born in 1964, took office as vice-governor in January 2018. He was also member of the 18th CPC National Congress and member of the 11th and 12th National People’s Congress, according to the website of Jiangsu government.
He worked as deputy Party head and mayor of Nanjing, capital city of Jiangsu province, from 2013 to 2018. In 2016, he was also appointed as the director of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, one of the 20 national-level new areas in China.
