Suspect arrested after shooting incident in Hebei
A man suspected of shooting two people on Wednesday night in North China's Hebei province was arrested on Thursday morning, local public security said.
The suspect killed one person and injured another with a nail gun at around 5:00 pm in a residential community in Shijiazhuang, according to an official statement on Weibo by the city's bureau of public security.
The 36-year-old man, surnamed Huang, ran away from the crime scene but was arrested about seven hours later. Further investigations are underway.
One of the victims, aged 47, died on the scene. Another, aged 30, was rushed to local hospital and was out of danger, according to a report by hebei.com.cn, a local media in Hebei.
The report said a property dispute was behind the shooting.
The victims were staff members of a local housing development and construction company, Guan Yuntian, deputy Party chief of Yuhua district, told thePaper.
