China Post released a set of commemorative stamps to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region at the Anthropology Museum of Guangxi in Nanning on Oct 18.

Painted on computers, the set includes three stamps with a total value of 3.6 yuan ($0.52). The stamps are named Harmonious Homeland, Open House and Ecological Blessing Land. 

Harmonious Homeland shows 12 ethnic people representing different groups singing and dancing joyously in traditional dress to celebrate the founding of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, creating a lively and celebratory festival atmosphere. [Photo/gxnews.com.cn]

The second stamp, Open House, vividly represents the brilliant achievements of Guangxi in both economic construction and social development. [Photo/gxnews.com.cn]

The third one, Ecological Blessing Land, displays the green hills and clear waters of Guangxi, including Guilin's Elephant Trunk Hill, Bama's Minghe River and the karst landforms typical of the region. [Photo/gxnews.com.cn]

A regional philatelic exhibition to celebrate Guangxi's 60th anniversary will take place at the Anthropology Museum of Guangxi from Oct 18 to 21. The commemorative and theme stamp albums are expected to be published simultaneously.
