Fishing boat sinks in Taiwan Straits, 2 rescued, 11 missing

Two crew members were rescued while 11 remain missing following the sinking of the Mindong Fishery 61648 in the central waters of the Taiwan Straits on Thursday morning. The two survivors reported the incident to the police after being rescued by a passing ship on Friday evening.
Fujian, Guangdong and Taiwan authorities have sent ships and helicopters to the area to conduct a rescue operation.
As of 3 pm on Saturday, the rescue was still in progress and no missing persons have been found.
