IDC, a global market consultancy focusing on technology, will hold a digital transformation awards ceremony on Oct 19, 2018, in Beijing, to build a high-quality platform for industrial exchange and sharing and to promote deeper cooperation among users and information technology vendors.

"The 2018 IDC China Digital Transformation Awards is the third awards ceremony we've organized," said Kitty Fok, managing director of IDC China at a news conference on Friday.

"The number and quality of cases collected in this year's Digital Transformation Awards have improved significantly compared with the previous two sessions. On one hand, it shows that users and manufacturers have paid more attention to digital transformation. On the other hand, there are a lot of good examples of digital transformation in the Chinese market, which also best embodies the Chinese government's efforts to develop the digital economy and build a digital China," Fok added.

With the application of the third platform and industrial innovation accelerator technology, digital transformation will become a main focus for all enterprises in the next 10 years. As of 2017, more than 50 percent of China's top 1,000 enterprises had regarded digital transformation as the strategic core of their companies.

"We hope to use global standards to research and evaluate China's digital transformation, in order to better motivate China's users to accelerate the realization of digital transformation and promote the development of China's digital economy with high quality and high standards," said Fok.

The 2018 awards ceremony is also an excellent platform to foster communication and sharing among users and IT solution providers, as well as to help users discover innovative ways to learn from and help IT solution providers find business opportunities.

This year's awards ceremony will have one main forum and eight sub-forums, attracting more than 1,000 guests. Several industry leaders will deliver speeches during the ceremony, which will include some of the latest digital technology.
