Spokesman of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council urged Taiwan authorities to immediately stop sabotaging activities targeting Chinese mainland to prevent further damage to the increasingly complicated cross-Straits relations.
Taiwan's intelligence agencies have been targeting Chinese mainland and stepped up efforts in information collecting and infiltration activities recklessly for some time. As a result, the security authorities have carried out special operations to crack down on such activities, spokesman An Fengshan said on Sunday.
Mainland security authorities on Saturday revealed several cases in which mainland students were incited to provide confidential information to Taiwan spy network.
