Recycling goes high-tech through AI in Shanghai

Advanced technology is now allowing for 'smart recycling' in Shanghai. Artificial Intelligence has been adapted to allow residents in Jing'an district to simply deposit their recycling in a specially-designed sorting machine. The machine is able to sort and classify the recyclable material, and then credit users with cash for their deposits through a downloadable app. [Photo/IC]
